In November 2008, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) elected new officers to serve on the National Board of Directors and appointed Jon Adler to succeed Art Gordon as National President. In a letter written on January 15th, Adler outlined the legislative priorities in the coming year as including law enforcement disability reform and enhancement of the retirement system for federal law enforcement. FLEOA also pledged support for the priority initiatives of its encompassed agencies such as the Department of Defense, Federal Air Marshalls, US Secret Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The Board of Directors is looking forward to working with Attorney General designee Eric Holder and is optimistic that President-elect Obama will be “receptive and supportive” of key FLEOA issues.
