Join The Heritage Foundation for Homeland Security University – a week of in-depth and thought-provoking policy presentations, providing you an “everything you need to know” preview of homeland security. Throughout the week, we will explore a wide variety of topics, including: natural disasters, terrorist and cyber attacks, the federal government’s role, and issues related to critical infrastructure.
The week will feature keynote addresses from leaders in the homeland security arena, including the Honorable Frances Fragos Townsend, former Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and former chairwoman of the Homeland Security Council Undersecretary for Policy at the Department of Homeland Security, and The Honorable Paul McHale, Former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense, U.S. Department of Defense. The week will also include presentations from leading policy analysts and homeland security professionals from The Heritage Foundation who will share their own research and insights into what the federal, state, and local governments should do to effectively protect the homeland.
