DHS: Secretary Napolitano Applauds President Obama’s Intent to Nominate Caryn Wagner as Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis

Wagner currently serves as senior faculty at the Intelligence Security Academy—providing education and training in intelligence community and resource management to the U.S. government.

Wagner previously held numerous positions involving oversight of the collection and analysis of intelligence—including Budget Director for the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (2007-2008) and Chief Financial Officer (2005-2007) and Executive Director for Intelligence Community Affairs (2004-2005) for the Intelligence Community.

Wagner has also held several positions in the Defense Intelligence Agency (1996-2004), including Director of the Military Intelligence Staff, where she was responsible for development and management of the General Defense Intelligence Program, and Senior Representative to the U.S. European Command and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Wagner holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and a master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.
