Once upon a time, most of the food consumed by Americans was raised and processed within 50 miles of the U.S. dinner table.
Today, it’s nearly impossible to know where our food comes from.
As a result, it’s becoming more difficult to protect consumers from tainted food and intentional bioterrorism attacks on the U.S. food supply, according to experts gathering this week for a conference in Kansas City.
