Chris Krebs blogs on critical infrastructure protection issues, particularly matters related to Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) re-authorization and compliance.

Krebs formerly served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection.  In that role, he helped lead the development, implementation and initial enforcement of the CFATS regulatory program, the first nationwide comprehensive security regulatory framework for high-risk chemical facilities. In addition, Krebs served as coordinator of the DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection’s international activities, directing a number of international critical infrastructure protection partnerships, including efforts with Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as a host of multi-lateral engagements.

Krebs is a Vice President for Dutko Global Risk Management, a division of Dutko Worldwide, where he provides private and public sector clients with critical infrastructure protection strategic counsel and advice. He also assists CFATS regulated companies in overcoming regulatory compliance challenges.
