Senate Begins Debate on Homeland Security Spending – HS Today
The Senate takes up its Homeland Security appropriations bill (S. 1298) Tuesday, potentially quickly clearing the way for a conference committee to reconcile it with the House version (HR 2892) before the congressional recess in August.
The fiscal 2010 Homeland Security spending bill being considered by the Senate largely mirrors spending proposed by the House, which overwhelmingly passed its bill June 24.
