Homeland security chief seeks tougher cargo controls | European Voice
Janet Napolitano, the US secretary for homeland security, today urged EU member states to help strengthen international cargo security.Speaking in Brussels, Napolitano announced plans to expand an international programme to strengthen security of cargo transport, supply networks and transport infrastructure in the wake of last year’s attempt by terrorists to put explosive devices on passenger planes.
