The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires more people to conduct overseas inspections of airports in foreign countries to ensure they comply with acceptable global aviation security standards, the TSA official responsible for those inspections told a House panel Thursday.
The TSA Office of Global Strategies (OGS) employs 25 TSA representatives to conduct outreach to foreign governments and about 50 inspectors to examine their aviation security systems, John Halinski, OGS assistant administrator, testified before the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation Security.
