Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano came to the Senate Wednesday to discuss border security but couldn’t avoid taking a few questions about the death of Osama bin Laden and its meaning to her department.
Napolitano announced that US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was under orders to develop a useful border security index, which would assign a numeric value to each sector of the border as an indication of how “secure” that area is.
